Mach Dan Retires

We salute the grand old man of our team, MACH DAN, as he goes into the next phase of his life - retirement.

Mach Dan ended his racing career with a brave second at his 100th start in the Geelong Pacing Cup on Friday night.

The nine-year-old had 28 wins, 13 seconds and 12 thirds to be a member of the distinguished million dollar club with $1,064,985 in earnings.

He was a long-time favourite of the Zavitsanos family and fellow owner Warren Viney, as well as everyone in the stable of Emma and Clayton.

Our association with Mach Dan began when he was purchased for $100,000 at the 2018 Melbourne Australian Pacing Gold yearling sale.

A winner on debut at Swan Hill, he was a two-time Group 1 winner, in the 2020 NSW Breeders Challenge 3yo Colts & Geldings Final at Menangle and 2022 Newcastle Mile.
